Heather S. Banchek

Heather S. BanchekHeather S. Banchek graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2007 after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 2003. Heather was admitted to practice law in Ohio in November 2007. She began with Margolius, Margolius & Associates as a law clerk in 2005 and is now an associate attorney devoted primarily to the representation of individuals seeking Social Security disability benefits. Heather has also assisted clients with long-term disability and employment discrimination cases.

While attending law school, Heather served as President of the Employment and Labor Law Association. In October 2006, Heather received the Ohio State Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section Student Achievement Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Labor and Employment Law for her law review note, Overcoming a Hostile Work Environment: Recognizing School District Liability for Student on Teacher Sexual Harassment Under Title VII and Title IX, which was published in the Cleveland State Law Review in 2007. During law school, Heather regularly volunteered with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland to provide legal assistance to low-income individuals, and she continues to volunteer with the Legal Aid Society as an attorney.

Heather is licensed to practice before all Ohio Courts as well as before the Federal Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
